Greg and I were home today, both had the day off... always my favorite kind of days! Makaela is always the highlight of our entertainment as she continues to explore and learn new things.

The entertainment began in the first 10 minutes that she was awake this morning. Seriously the house looked like a bomb went off. EVERY room had her mark left on it. The kitchen... boxes and spice containers everywhere. The bathroom... Q-tips all over the floor and mommy's hairdryer so nicely placed beside it. Our bedroom ... my shoes beside my bed that she placed there while going for the cordless phone. So finally I clued into the disaster that was taking place and managed to localize the destruction to the family room where everything in all the baskets had to come out! All that before Greg was out of bed! To say the least, he was mighty shocked when he came out of the room!

She is learning so much... but will she EVER learn to
SIT STILL ????? :)

I would not change it for the world ... though I can't wait til she learns how to clean up her messes!

It's funny though how much she is a combination of Greg's and my personality. (Obvious, I know!) I wont tell you whose traits are whose... :)... but my oh my this parenting a "little me" and a "little Greg" is very scary! Heaven help us all!
So what do you do when your child looks at you while shaking her head "no" because she knows she is not allowed to touch the tv... yet touches it anyway?? "Yes mom, I know that I am not allowed to touch it..." How do they learn that so young?? Too funny. (for now!)

Anyway, the house is quiet now. Our little monkey is in bed and Greg is playing the wii.. alone... because I had to come blog!I must admit that he and I have had a war going on the last two days. We rented the new wii mario game... and the fact that I can bounce on his head and purposely make him die... AND still keep using continues to torment him... has made my day! Greg struggles playing with me because he feel the need to tell me when to jump and who to kill... and even if I do what he says (which is not often :P ... )I still did not do it right!GRRR.
So whoever wants to get that game for him for christmas... you may officially be starting a war in our home! But since I'll WIN.... BRING IT ON!
