thankfulness

Have you ever had one of those nights where you lay awake in bed till late hours in the "night" (morning) with a million and one things going through your mind?

-Things that need to be done tomorrow...
- How you are ever going to finish the construction on your house that has taken 4 months already and probably another 40 till it's done....
- How much money you are going to need to pay your bills and buy the things you need to buy...
- How in the world you are ever going to teach your daughter not to do the things that you do :) ...it's a scary thought

I have those nights all the time but tonight it's a little diff
erent for me... it's a change and I kind of like it. Manda and I in our devo's read about thanksgiving...
"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks..."
1 Thess. 5:16-18
We said good night and rolled over but i couldn't get those four words out of my head...
"In every thing give thanks".
I am thankful
I am thankful for the most wonderful wife in the world who supports me and loves me unconditionally though i do not deserve it.
I am thankful for the most beautiful baby girl in the world who loves me and will chase me around the house with her arms open wide to show me that she does.
I am thankful for a God who loved me when i was unlovable who gave me an eternal home, a heavenly family, and a joy-filled life.
I am thankful for a Mom and Dad who are the best example in the world to me of how a man is to love his wife, and how a parent is to love a child.
I am thankful for a Mother and Father in-law who actually allowed me to marry their daughter and move her away and still support and love me as their own.
I am thankful for brothers and sisters who are closer to me than any friend I have had, who you can just talk to and joke with.
I am thankful for all my grandparents who have taught me that life is precious, that family is important and that nan will still discipline you even when mom is not around. :)
I am thankful for my Pastor and his wife and the example and teachers that they have been to me and my wife.
I am thankful for my home, for my church family, for my health...

I guess what i am trying to say is that I feel overwhelmed...and it's a good thing.
I realize that i spend way to many nights awake thinking about the few things that I don't have rather that the many things that I do have.

So i just want to say...I am thankful

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
- Eph. 5:20
