fully surrendered??

"As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him" Colossians 2:6

Today in my devotions I was asked the question , "What is keeping you from surrendering everything to God?" As I looked at the page and started to think about my life, I realized something that may not make sense at all... because I don't think it can work like this.

I said to myself that I believe that I am fully surrendered to the "big picture" of the will of God (like being called to some foreign place or just being ready to go anywhere), but I struggle with the daily surrender to the will of God (like reading my Bible and praying everyday).Now you can see what I mean by I don't think it can work like that! If I am not surrendered today... how can I be surrendered tomorrow?

Obviously I cannot be fully surrendered then, eh?

So in the end I have cleared up something I had never thought about before(at least in this context)... Surrendering to be a missionary or pastor's wife is all great and grand, but are you surrendered today to live for Christ? The christian life is a DAILY walk with Christ. Makaela could not make it without help in a day, so what makes me think I can make it without God in a day?? So think about it... are you FULLY surrendered?

My prayer is that I would remember
tomorrow what I have learned today...
that way I will be surrendered!
