How in the world does buying a CHRISTMAS TREE turn into redecorating the WHOLE house???? I think the only rooms left untouched from this madness were Makaela's and the bathroom... and probably only because she was sleeping while this craziness was taking place!Greg and I are celebrating our 3rd Christmas as a married couple! Every Dec 1st we get our tree... but this year the tree lots went up a little early so we went and got our tree tonight so that we can decorate it tomorrow! Unfortunately it started to RAIN just as we were pulling into the lot... I had told Greg that we would have to post pone picking out the tree if it meant standing in the rain... But
when we pulled into the lot my heart changed because I just love Christmas trees! So M and I hopped out with Greg and began our search. The man kept telling us that all of the trees were groomed and looked the same... REALLY?? Even if they were (which they weren't...), there is no fun in walking into the lot and grabbing the first tree! It must be an adventure! The hunt for the PERFECT tree for our living room! Thankfully our hunt ended at tree #2! (but it was not #1!)
So the "perfect" tree came home and the real adventure began. Where in the world is it going to go? This is our first Christmas in our new home and to say the least... placement was not easy. I think this is going to be one of those years that the tree moves around the room! ha! Well maybe not cause Greg would kill me... but I am not convinced as of yet! :)
So in putting the tree in the family room, the chair had to come out. So then we wondered about putting it into our room to make a reading area! So that meant the bed had to be moved and we brought the fireplace up... and the chair did not end up fitting anyway. But I like the new room set up anyway so it was worth it.
Then we needed to move the buffet... so the kitchen table moved and the buffet went into the kitchen and... well you get the point.
To bed I go... the house a wreck... but WE HAVE OUR CHRISTMAS TREE!!!!
