happy december

I was a bum yesterday and did not blog :( .
After decorating the tree and doing the rest of my cleaning I was just not in the mood!

Funny though cause December 1st is one of my FAVORITE days of the year! It's decorate the tree day and watch Elf day and it even snowed to make it that much better this year!!!
I just LOVE the atmosphere of our home at Christmas. White lights and LOTS of glitter... it always looks so empty when the decorations come down. But I still have a FULL month to enjoy!!

So what does this month hold? Well, Mom's birthday is on the 13th... and Jenn is going to have her baby... and Nathan and Celeste get to come to visit... and Tracie gets to do my hair :) .... we have our church cantata... and Makaela will be in her first Christmas play...and then it's Christmas Eve and then CHRISTMAS ... and then I GET TO GO HOME TO ONTARIO FOR ALMOST 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... then dad's birthday...then it's Ry's wedding... WOW, eh!! Every day is so exciting in December and I love it!

Greg and I have been talking about the traditions we want for our kids for Christmas. I think some traditions you can plan but the best ones just happen without thinking! Family is always our biggest "earthly" focus during the holidays and I hope that our children (child for now) can really grasp the VALUE of cherishing EVERY family relationship. I don't think I could handle a Christmas without my family (both sides.) Hope I never have to.

Anyway, In honour of yesterday and the month to come...
