remembering...

I was just talking to my mom on the phone and she told me she was going to watch the Christmas cantata on FaithWay's website... so that triggered me to go and check it out. I ended up not being able to watch it, but I did go through and read some of Pastor Baker's sermons. It's amazing how I can read his sermons and actually hear him talking in my head! I could even picture what parts he would emphasize and words that he would stress. I miss him and am so thankful for everything he did in my life! God used him to literally change my focus as I knew it!! "To whom much is given much is also required!".

I still remember the day I came to visit the college for the first time and I had no idea who Pastor Baker was... and he made a joke at me so I stuck my tongue out at him!.... WOW! He must have thought I was crazy but I didn't have a sweet clue ... That changed pretty quickly when I went to the college! :) He hired me when I graduated though so he must have forgiven me :)
I cherish the memories that were created while I was there...and when we went back to visit the last time, Greg and I got a hug! Special memory for the both of us. I love him and his family. Enough said!

Speaking of college days, Greg and I still wonder how we made it through those days as a couple! He was in college and I was a teacher at the school.... I saw him on Sunday's and that was pretty much it! Yet somehow we did it and look where we are now! I just love remembering... girls dorms, friendships made, bad mistakes, dramatic relationships, etc! Such fun... and all of it makes me who I am today! Good or bad.. it's all rolled into me!
